Reclaimed Wood are derived from an eclectic mix of reclaimed, re-purposed and recycled wood materials from sources throughout the United States. Making efficient their origins, they are proposed in small tile formats for interior use on feature wall & ceilings (not suitable for flooring). The material provides for a natural variations and characteristics, as no two pieces of wood are alike. A unique personalization for each project. The material is uniquely coated with a ceramic finish providing durability and conservation, which is fire rated Class A under ASTM E84 code.
Reclaimed Wood is available in 4 color variations; Natural, Gunstock, White Wash & Raw Flats. The material is supplied in panels or loose pieces as noted, on a backing in interlocking panels. Thickness can vary from 3/8″ to 7/8″, except Raw Flats & Shou Sugi Ban which are all 5/8″ thick. This variation in thickness provides a dimensional texture which is highly sought in today’s architecture and design..
Featured in the series is a collection of Shou Sugi Ban, inspired by the ancient Japanese technique of burnt wood siding. Although instead of charring the underlying material, a vegetable dye treatment is used. In doing so a product is created that is both commercially consistent and free odors most typically associated with charred wood.
